Fast forward to my teen years and I began what would be a long, frustrating battle with acne. After countless hours spent at appointments looking for a solution, I was oftentimes left with more questions than answers. Becoming the professional myself to gain a deeper understanding of skin conditions, product ingredients, and professional treatments was the missing part of the puzzle and it’s now my passion to help others learn how to achieve optimal skin health.
Before I ever knew the word ‘aesthetician’ or its definition, I knew this was the industry for me. As a young girl, I remember walking through make-up stores, drawn to the pretty packaging of products and the professionals working at these places making their recommendations to shoppers. I’d flip through magazines absorbing everything I could about ‘skin care tips' and ‘beauty tricks’ and one of my favorite hobbies was playing with a concoction of lotions, scrubs, and masks, coming up with my own at-home regimens.
